Local Law #4 of 2008
ESTABLISHMENT OF WATER RATES
BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Candor as follows:
SECTION 1: RESIDENTIAL AND NON-RESIDENTIAL MINIMUM FLAT RATE
- (1) A minimum flat rate of $35.46 shall be billed bi-monthly to each Village of Candor residential water customer. Any water consumption exceeding 500 cubic feet per billing cycle shall have an additional charge and shall be billed accordingly.
- (2) A minimum flat rate of $37.23 shall be billed bi-monthly to each Village of Candor non-residential water customer. Any water consumption exceeding 500 cubic feet per billing cycle shall have an additional charge and shall be billed accordingly.
- (3) A minimum flat rate of $42.55 shall be billed bi-monthly to each Village of Candor residential water customer located outside the corporate limits. Any water consumption exceeding 500 cubic feet per billing cycle shall have an additional charge and shall be billed accordingly.
- (4) A minimum flat rate of $48.93 shall be billed bi-monthly to each Village of Candor non-residential water customer located outside the corporate limits. Any water consumption exceeding 500 cubic feet per billing cycle shall have an additional charge and shall be billed accordingly.
- (5) The Candor Village Board may resolve to change water rates from time to time.

- (1) The Candor Village Board may resolve to change water rates from time to time.
SECTION 3: FINAL READINGS
Whenever a final reading is required for a water account, a minimum charge shall be billed to that account if that account has not consumed in excess of 500 cubic feet of water.
SECTION 4: SEVERABILITY
If any section of this Local Law shall be held unconstitutional, invalid, or ineffective in whole or in part, such determination shall not be deemed to affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder thereof.
SECTION 5: EFFECTIVE DATE
This Local Law shall take effect June 1, 2008 and shall be filed in the office of the New York Secretary of State in accordance with Section 27 of the Municipal Home Rule Law.
