Local Law #2 of 1978

PROHIBITION OF PARKING IN DESIGNATED LOCATIONS

BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Candor as follows:

SECTION 1:

Section 4, "Prohibition of Parking in Designated Locations: of Article VIII of the Code or Ordinances of the Village of Candor is hereby amended by the addition of the following subdivision:

1. (f) On both sides of Humboldt Street.

SECTION 2:

This Local Law shall take effect immediately.

Yeier, Village Clerk of the Village of Candor, Tioga County, New York, do hereby certify that the forgoing comprises a true, correct, and complete copy of Local Law No. 2 of 1978 amending Section 4 of Article VIII of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Candor, duly adopted at a Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of said Village held May 16, 1978.

Following is the amended ordinance as now amended:

RESOLVED AND BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Candor that Section 4, "Prohibition of Parking in Designated Locations" of Article VIII of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Candor, be amended to read and to provide as follows:

The parking or standing of vehicles in any of the follwoing locations is hereby prohibited:

1. (a) On the west side of Main Street, between Jackson Street and Spencer Avenue.



2. (b) On the east side of Main Street, between a point opposite the Jackson Street intersection and a point situate one hundred twelve (112) south of the south line of Bank Street.



3. (c) On the east side of Main Street, between the point where the north line of the Candor Central School premises intersects said street and a point one hundred eighty-eight (188) feet south thereof, between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00PM on days when said school is in session.



4. (d) On the west side of Mill Street, in front of the Alert Hose Company premises.



5. (e) On the south side of Main Street, between Railroad Avenue and the point where the east line of the Alpha Hose Company intersects said street.



6. (f) On both sides of Humboldt Street.

SECTION 5: PENALTIES

Any person violating any of the provisions of Section 3 and 4 of this Article shall be punishable for the first offense by a fine not exceeding five (5) dollars; for the second offense by a fine not exceeding ten (10) dollars; and for the third or subsequent offense by a fine not exceeding twenty-five (25) dollars.
