SPECIAL MEETING
VILLAGE OF CANDOR BOARD OF TRUSTEES

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees was called by the Honorable Mayor Steven A. Sparling at 5:32 pm on March 9, 2010, at the Village Hall, 138 Main Street, Candor, NY for the purpose of authorizing an application for funds to the New York State Local Government Efficiency Grant program in an attempt to secure funds to conduct a Village Dissolution Feasibility Study for the Village of Candor.

Those in attendance included Trustees Gary Consalvi, Chris Brown, and Nancy King; and Clerk Jan Swartz. Trustee Mike Swartz was absent due to a scheduling conflict.

Mayor Sparling presented the following:

RESOLUTION TO FILE APPLICATION FOR DISSOLUTION FEASIBILITY STUDY

BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the Village of Candor is hereby authorized and directed to file an application for funds to the New York State Local Government Efficiency Grant program for the 2009-2010 Program Year. The Village of Candor, as lead applicant, will be responsible for all grant administration, oversight and reporting required through this application.

WHEREAS, the purpose of the application is to secure funds to conduct a Village Dissolution Feasibility Study for the Village of Candor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the maximum amount of funds applied for through this program for this study shall not exceed $50,000 and the Village of Candor will contribute the required 10% cash match should an award be made.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
