Candor Board of Assessment Review
SECTION I. TITLE
This law shall be known as the Board of Assessment Review Law
of the Town of Candor.
SECTION II. STATUTORY AUTHORIZATION
This local law is enacted pursuant to the authority granted to
the Town by the Municipal Home Rule Law and by Real Property Tax
Law section 512 (l-a).
SECTION III. INTENT
It is the intent of this law to change the date for the
hearing of complaints by the Board of Assessment Review of the Town
of Candor from the fourth Tuesday in May of each year to the fourth
Wednesday in May of each year.
SECTION IV. ESTABLISHMENT OF DATE FOR THE HEARING OF COMPLAINTS BY THE BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW
As of the effective date of this law, the Board of Assessment
Review of the Town of Candor shall meet for the purpose of hearing
of complaints, as required by Real Property Tax Law Section 512, on
the fourth Wednesday of May, instead of the fourth Tuesday of May,
and shall meet so many days thereafter as the Board of Assessment
Review deems necessary. The provisions of this law shall not be
construed to change the date for the filing of the tentative
assessment roll.
SECTION V. EFFECTIVE DATE
This law shall take effect immediately following its filing in
the office of the Secretary of State, the office of the Clerk of
the Town of Candor and the office of the State Board of
Equalization and Assessment.

Motion by Clm. Dougherty, seconded by Clm. Tuttle to adjourn
the meeting at 9:55PM.
